TYPHLOSION

TOGEKISS

UMBREON

AMPHAROS

LAPRAS

DRAGONAIR

Gentle nature.
Often lost in thought.

Typhlosion was first met as a young Cyndaquil given to Ethan by Professor Elm in preparation for his journey. Intelligent, affectionate, and unwaveringly loyal, he is without a doubt Ethan's closest friend and partner. Unfortunately, he can be quite skittish, and has a strange phobia of ice despite his advantage against the type. (In Ice Path, he'll make a point of clinging to Ethan for safety; something that really doesn't make for ease of movement in addition to sliding around.)
Quirky nature.
Likes to thrash about.

Togekiss was given to Ethan as a mystery egg found by Mr. Pokémon. As a Togepi, she had the tendency to wander away and often get herself into trouble; upon evolving into Togetic, this trouble changed into absolutely refusing to leave Ethan's side, and frequently fighting for his attention -- much to the chagrin of his other Pokémon. Now, as a Togekiss and one of the most powerful fighters on the team, she... well, she hasn't changed much, but she's definitely put out by the fact that she's too large to perch on his shoulder now.
Sassy nature.
Capable of taking hits.

Umbreon was first met as an Eevee given to Ethan by Bill. True to his nature, he was feisty and rebellious, and several weeks went by before he was willing to warm up to his new trainer. Eventually, however, Ethan's determination in getting close to the young Eevee finally got through, and it wasn't long afterwards that he evolved into Umbreon. While he now loves spending time and playing with Ethan, he's still bitingly snarky around the other members of the team, and tends to taunt or turn his nose up at most opponents in battle.
Naughty nature.
Very finicky.

Ampharos was the first member of Ethan's regular team to be caught in the wild, met as a Mareep on the outskirts of Mahogany Town. Mischievous, fun-loving, and impulsive, she used to have the dangerous habit of zapping anything and anyone for entertainment, and only grew out of it when Ethan took the time to teach her to conserve her energy for when she really needed it. She vastly prefers being out of her Pokéball and walking with her trainer, as she has an especially keen interest in the new sights and Pokémon outside of her home route.
Quirky nature.
Somewhat vain.

Lapras was the second member of Ethan's regular team to be caught in the wild, and is even more unique in that Ethan made an extra effort in tracking him down at the right time in the right cave. Lapras can be rather standoffish and moody at times, often giving Ethan the silent treatment or 'accidentally' shoving him off his back while Surfing for trivial reasons. However, he also takes his trainer battles very seriously, and has never lost a single serious match -- in fact, Lapras was the last Pokémon standing in their first championship victory against Lance.
Modest nature.
Very finicky.

Dragonair is the newest member of the team, given to Ethan as a Dratini from the Master of the Dragon Clan after passing their test. She is very friendly and kindhearted, typically being the first to step in and mediate when the team is met with conflict, and the last to lose her temper the odd time it is tried. However, her young age is often made quite evident, as she retains the same air of naïveté and innocent curiosity from her days as a Dratini, and it has worked against her in battle more than once despite her strong typing. She adores spending time with Ethan, but tends to accidentally smack him or trip him up with her tail with worrying frequency.
